The role and its purpose The Royal Hospital Chelsea gift shop and Post Office offers a vital service to staff, Pensioners, Pensioners families and the local community.

You will meet new people and get more involved in our RHC community. This volunteer experience will develop your skills and enable you to acquire new ones in a supportive and friendly environment.

We are currently looking for volunteers to join our retail team at the Royal Hospital Chelsea during the Christmas period. As a Retail Volunteer, you will support shop and Post-Office staff members and may have the opportunity to continue in this role into the new year, should you so choose. No Post Office services will be required to be undertaken by volunteers.

Although we don’t specify the time that you commit to volunteering, we would appreciate volunteers who are able to commit to 3 hours per week. We would appreciate any time you can give according to your availability.

Volunteer activities may be varied from time to time in consultation with yourself.
